35% shadeIn South Australia the front side windows must be 35% or lighter, so that is the darkest legal front shade. Rear windows can go darker, down to a 5% limo look. Our proven, everyday tint
Jet Black Metalised Tint is the film we have fitted to Adelaide cars for years, and it is the one most drivers choose. It gives you that clean, deep black look, cuts glare hard, and knocks back heat and UV so your car is more comfortable to climb into and easier on your eyes on the drive home.
It is a metalised film, so it uses a fine metal layer to reflect heat away from the cabin. That makes it a strong, honest performer at a price that keeps your wallet happy, which is the whole point of a home-based workshop like ours: the same quality film and qualified fitting, without a fancy showroom loaded into the price.
Real heat, glare and UV protection
The sun does more than make a parked car uncomfortable. It fades your dash, dries out seats and trim, and beats down on your skin through the glass on every drive. Quality tint takes most of that away.
Across our films we block up to 99% of UV, cut heat by up to 80%, and knock back glare by up to 90%, while only reducing visible light by around 5%. You get a cooler cabin, a dash and interior that last longer, and far less squinting into a low western sun, all while still seeing clearly out of the car.

Jet Black comes in a range of shades, from a lighter look that keeps the cabin bright through to a dark limo finish on the rear glass. On the front side windows, South Australia sets a legal limit on how dark you can go, and we fit right up to that darkest legal shade so your car stays roadworthy.

Tinting a car properly takes training. The glass has to be prepped carefully, the film cut to size, and often heat-shrunk to the curve of the rear screen. At Pro Tint Adelaide every single window is custom fit, which means absolutely no gaps at the top or bottom of the glass.
Tint goes on all windows except the front windscreen and any sunroof, and laminated glass cannot be tinted. Every Jet Black job is backed by our lifetime warranty, so you can drive away knowing the film is covered for as long as you own the car.

Keep the windows up for a few days, and hold off cleaning the inside of the glass while the adhesive sets.

Jet Black Metalised is our proven standard film: a deep, glare-cutting black that blocks heat and UV at a great price. Nano Ceramic is the premium upgrade, using nano-ceramic technology for high infra-red heat rejection, so the cabin stays noticeably cooler, while staying non-metallic so it never interferes with your GPS, phone or sensors. Both come in a range of shades and carry our lifetime warranty.
In South Australia, your front side windows must let at least 35% of light through, so 35% is the darkest legal shade there. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker. The windscreen cannot be tinted except for a visor strip along the top. We keep every car within the legal limits and can fit right up to the darkest legal shade on the front, advising the right compliant option before any film is cut.
For the first few days after tinting, avoid rolling the tinted windows down while the film cures. Leave cleaning the inside of the tinted glass for a couple of weeks, then use a soft microfibre cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner. Never use abrasive materials on tinted glass. Cared for this way, quality tint stays looking new for the life of the film.
