The best window tint for your car in Adelaide
There is no single best tint, there is the best tint for your car. We fit two proven films, Jet Black Metalised and Nano Ceramic, so the honest answer depends on how you drive and what matters most. Here is how to choose.

Two honest options, one right choice for your car
Jet Black Metalised is our proven standard, a deep, glare-cutting black that knocks back heat and UV at a price that keeps your wallet happy. It is the film most drivers choose, and it comes in shades down to the darkest legal on the front windows.
Nano Ceramic is the premium upgrade. It adds high infra-red heat rejection for a noticeably cooler cabin and stays non-metallic, so it never interferes with your signal. Both carry our lifetime warranty, and both are fitted by a fully qualified tinter, so the best choice is simply the one matched to how you use the car.

Which tint is right for your car?
Pick what matters most to you. We will show the film we would fit and why, then you can compare both side by side.
Jet Black Metalised Tint
You want a clean, deep black finish and real heat, glare and UV relief without overspending. Jet Black Metalised is our proven standard and the film most drivers pick, in shades down to the darkest legal on the front.
Jet Black Metalised Tint
The proven standard
- A sharp, deep black finish on any budget
- Daily drivers and first-time tint
- The darkest legal look up front
- Real heat, glare and UV relief
Nano Ceramic Tint
Our premium heat-beating upgrade
- The coolest, most comfortable cabin
- Cars parked in full sun every day
- Long commutes and family cars
- Keeping GPS, phone and sensors clear
Both films come in shades down to the darkest legal, and both carry our lifetime warranty. We quote every car individually, so a quick message with your make, model and year is all we need.
What actually makes one tint better than another
The film matters, but so does the fit and the aftercare. These are the things worth paying attention to when you compare.
Heat rejection you can feel
The real gap between a good tint and a great one is infra-red heat, the warmth you feel on your arm. Nano Ceramic rejects far more of it, so the cabin loads up with less heat on a hot day.
Clarity that lasts
Quality film stays optically clear by day and at night and holds its colour, rather than fading to purple or hazing over the way the cheap stuff does after a couple of summers.
Signal-safe, non-metallic option
Nano Ceramic uses no metal, so GPS, keyless entry, tyre-pressure sensors, digital radio and your phone all keep working exactly as they should.
Legal, and warranted for life
We keep your front windows within South Australia's limits and back every job with a lifetime warranty recorded against your car, so the film stays covered for as long as you own it.
Cars we have tinted, not a star rating
We would rather show you the work than chase review counts. There are hundreds of real cars on our Instagram, a lifetime warranty on every job, and a family business that has been tinting Adelaide cars since 2010. We even sponsor the Salisbury Football Club.
- Lifetime warranty
- Every tint we fit is backed for as long as you own the car.
- Fully qualified tinter
- Troy has more than 16 years behind the film, and it shows.
- Family owned since 2010
- A small, local, down-to-earth business you can actually talk to.
- We price match
- Show us a cheaper written quote on an eligible car and we'll match it.
- Custom cut, no gaps
- Every window is fitted to your exact car, no gaps top or bottom.
- Honest, low-overhead pricing
- A home workshop, not a costly showroom, so you pay less for the same quality.

Choosing the best tint, answered
Jet Black Metalised is our proven standard film: a deep, glare-cutting black that blocks heat and UV at a great price. Nano Ceramic is the premium upgrade, using nano-ceramic technology for high infra-red heat rejection, so the cabin stays noticeably cooler, while staying non-metallic so it never interferes with your GPS, phone or sensors. Both come in a range of shades and carry our lifetime warranty.
We quote every car individually, because the price depends on your vehicle's make, model and year, the film you choose (Jet Black Metalised or Nano Ceramic), and the shade. Working from a home workshop keeps our overheads low, so our prices are very competitive, and we will price match a cheaper written quote on eligible vehicles. Call 0404 788 085 or message us for a no-obligation quote.
In South Australia, your front side windows must let at least 35% of light through, so 35% is the darkest legal shade there. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker. The windscreen cannot be tinted except for a visor strip along the top. We keep every car within the legal limits and can fit right up to the darkest legal shade on the front, advising the right compliant option before any film is cut.
Yes. Every tint we fit at Pro Tint Adelaide is backed by a lifetime warranty, recorded against your car, so the film stays covered for as long as you own it. We use quality film and quality workmanship, and we stand behind both.
With proper care, quality window tint lasts many years and keeps looking its best, which is why our tint is backed by a lifetime warranty. UV exposure, cleaning habits and film quality all affect how it ages, so we use quality film and show you how to look after it.
We work by appointment. Call 0404 788 085 during business hours to talk through your car and book, or message our Facebook or Instagram any time with your make, model and year.
